TYR Wetsuit Demo Day

Are you in the market for new wetsuit?  Or does your suit need an upgrade?

Sunday, April 9th is your opportunity to try the 2017 TYR Wetsuit collection on….AND go for a swim in them!

That’s right, we are taking over the Dorchester Family YMCA pool along with our representative from TYR, and letting you try the suits on and test them out.  While we had hoped that the Choptank River would be warm enough for a quick dip, it doesn’t look like the water temperatures will be safe for us to demo the suits outside.  We will have use of the pool from 11:00am – 2:00pm.  Light refreshments will be offered under the TriCycle and Run tent just outside the pool in the YMCA parking lot.  We will also bring some of our closeout swimskins and triathlon apparel for you to shop!

If you decide that one of the TYR suits is for you, Laura will be taking orders and payments right there at the YMCA.  Shipping options can be discussed in detail with her at the event.  SPECIAL DISCOUNTS offered for all participants in the event!

There is also an opportunity to join some of the local athletes in the area for a quick bike ride before the demo event begins.  For further details about the group ride or the demo event, please feel free to email Laura at info@tricycleandrun.com.

We are so excited to bring this event to you, our local triathlon community!  Stay tuned for more similar events in the near future!

2017 Park Tool School Workshops

park-tool-schoolWe are happy to announce that our Park Tool School Workshops will continue in 2017!

The Park Tool School is a hands-on maintenance and repair clinic written by Park Tool and taught by the experts here at TriCycle and Run. Learn how your bike works, how to change a flat or overhaul your bike completely. Clinic curriculum and materials originate from the BBB-3 Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair, which acts as the outline for each clinic.  Our clinic will review the basics of home bicycle maintenance, plus give you the skills to perform basic bicycle tune-ups and diagnose and repair mechanical issues as they arise.

Registration fee:  $150 (includes a Park Tool Mechanics Apron & a copy of the Park Tool Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair – a $50 Value)

2017 DATES:

January Park Tool School:  January 8 & 22  REGISTER HERE

February Park Tool School:  February 5 & 19   REGISTER HERE

**UPDATED**  March Park Tool School:  March 12 & 19  REGISTER HERE

Each workshop is a 2-day classroom style setting.  Class hours are 9:00am-1:00pm.  Lunch will be provided each day.  The registration fee of $150 is due on the first day of class.  Day one of each workshop will be an overview of basic bicycle information and maintenance knowledge.  Day 2 will be an intense hands-on classroom, so you are encouraged to bring your bicycle with you to class.  If you do not have a bicycle, but still want to learn, we can provide you with a bike to work on.  You should prepare to get your hands dirty on day 2!  It is truly a FUN experience, and a great workshop for every bike enthusiast!

REGISTRATION is required for these workshops as space is limited.  Please use the links posted above to register for either January, February or March.

HOLIDAY SHOPPERS, we think it is a great idea to purchase a GIFT CERTIFICATE to cover the cost of the clinic for the bike enthusiast in your life.  If you are interested, please call Laura today (410)745-2836.
