2022: A Snapshot of the Year Ahead

Visit our shop! Located just before historic St. Michaels on the right side

As many of you know, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic stretched far wider than any of us were prepared. With that said, yes, we are continuing to battle supply chain interruptions for many items that would normally be plentiful. It is our commitment to continue to serve the cycling and multisport community to the best of our abilities today, tomorrow and well into the future.

The largest impact that we continue to struggle with is the limited availability of new bikes. While there does seem to finally be a little light at the end of the tunnel, our selection of new bikes will continue to be on the light side. We have partnered with a few new brands to help fill when needed including Retrospec bikes and Pure Cycles. If you are interested in purchasing a new bike, we are recommending that you call ahead to inquire about available inventory (410-745-2836) or to email Laura at info@tricycleandrun.com. We are still a dealer for Fuji, Breezer, SE and Tuesday Cycles as well. Other brands that we partner with also include Sun and Evo.

We continue to offer bicycle repair service for all range of bikes. New, old, ancient….we will fix it for you. Some parts are also part of the ongoing supply chain disruptions, but for the most part we have been able to make most repairs that have been brought in to us. Some items such as cassettes and derailleurs continue to be widely unavailable, but an assessment can be given at the time of service drop-off. Our average turnaround time for tune-ups is running about 2 weeks from drop-off to completion. Less labor intensive repairs such as flat tires we can turnaround in no more than 24 hours. We are also open to arranging faster turnaround as needed, but please email in advance if you need this considered for you.

We are still offering bike rentals, but please note that our options are limited as well. You can refer to the Rental page on the website for a more detailed update on our rental fleet offerings.

For those of you interested in services not related to cycling, we have a few notes of interest. The first being that we have drastically scaled back our running shoe inventory. Currently, we are only offering shoes from Altra Running. This change was a difficult decision for us, but with the ongoing supply issues, we decided to shift our main focus to bikes and bike repairs. That being said, we are still offering a great many accessories and nutrition items for the running community. An abbreviated list of brands we offer include: SPIBelt, Flipbelt, Orange Mud, Fitletic, Swiftwick socks, CEP Compression, GU Energy, Honey Stinger, Clif, Generation UCAN, Tailwind, Nuun Hydration and the list goes on.

We also still maintain a small variety of swim and triathlon apparel and accessories from TYR Sport, Pearl Izumi, and Louis Garneau. While we don’t stock wetsuits, we can always order as needed. Any questions regarding inventory, again feel free to email Laura at info@tricycleandrun.com!

We look forward to seeing you this coming year and race season!
