3rd Annual Shamrock Shuffle FREE 5K Fun Run

Our FREE 5K Fun Run series continues into 2018, and we hope you will join us for our 3rd Annual Shamrock Shuffle FREE 5K on Saturday, March 17th! A FREE Fun Run means NO registration fee, but we do ask that everyone bring something to donate to our charity partner. For this race, we will be collecting gift card donations for the St. Michaels High School After-Prom Party. The gift cards we collect will be used as door prizes throughout the night at the 2018 After-Prom Party event. Help us reward the students of Talbot County that choose to remain drug- and alcohol-free on prom night.

Prom night is, statistically, one of the most dangerous nights of a student’s high school career. They may be invited to other parties that offer alcohol, often drugs are readily available and quite often students have sex on Prom night, leading to unplanned pregnancies. WE have to make sure that the SMHS After Prom Party is THE party our children choose to attend after their prom. Our mission is to keep kids safe and let’s get real…to keep them ALIVE and well.

While the party is free to students, it is an event that requires much financial support from the business community and people like you who believe in investing in the safety of students on a night that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Encourage everyone you know to register online!

Online registration can be found HERE!

As for race day, please plan to arrive at the shop (TriCycle and Run – 929 S. Talbot St. – St. Michaels – MD – 21663) no later than 8:30am to pick up your bib and complete registration. Please plan to park at St. Michaels Elementary School (on Seymour Ave.), then make the short walk down to the shop. There will be a pre-race meeting in the front parking lot at 8:45am. We will then walk as a group to the start line across the street at 9:00am.

As usual, this event is designed to be FUN!! As such, this is a prediction race….meaning that just because you cross the finish line first, doesn’t necessarily mean that you are the race winner. You will need to guess your finish time by the closest margin to be declared a race winner!!

PLUS, stay tuned for details on some amazing specials being offered by local businesses after the race, just for participants!

We can’t wait to see you all in a few weeks!!

3rd Annual Love Run FREE 5K

Our Free Fun Run starts with a bang on January 20, and we hope you will help us keep things rolling into February for our 3nd Annual LOVE RUN Free 5K Fun Run on Saturday, Feb. 17th! Let’s keep the ‘love running’ after Valentine’s day. We encourage everyone to show their love and keep things FUN!

For this event, we will be collecting donations for Talbot Interfaith Shelter as your ‘registration fee’.

The Talbot Interfaith Shelter is a voluntary interfaith-based service organization in Talbot County, Maryland. We are dedicated both to providing safe, temporary shelter to men, women, and children who lack adequate housing, and to raising awareness of the issues of homelessness in our community.  Our vision is that no one in Talbot County will ever have to spend a night on the streets, in a car or in the woods because he or she cannot find housing.  The Shelter is an interfaith organization sponsored and operated cooperatively by different religious faith groups who respect the individuality, confidentiality, and privacy of guests. Each member of the community is invited to volunteer in this effort.

The Shelter believes that all men, women, and children have an inherent right to adequate housing that is safe and secure. The Shelter is open to individuals of all races, genders, ethnic backgrounds, nationalities, sexual orientations and religions.

Here is a list of items that are always needed at the shelter:
