Ladies Night Sip ‘n Shop is BACK!

Our Ladies Night Sip ‘n Shop events are back for 2017!

Come out and join Laura on Saturday, February 25th 6pm-9pm for an evening of after-hours fun.  Each of our Ladies Night events features a female speake from our community to talk about topics that relate to our path to wellness.  Light refreshments, a little wine, a little learning, AND some discount shopping…who could ask for a better reason to spend the night with us?

This event will feature a few of our local ‘food gurus’ in our community.  We are excited to have Emily Groll, from Eat Sprout, to join us with a few of their tasty offerings and a little know-how on food labeling.

We are also delighted to have Carol Bean, of Know Good Farm, with us to introduce her CSA program and talk about small, local agriculture.  If I know Carol, then I know she will have a few homemade goodies to share with everyone as well.  (a little birdie even said she might have some micro-greens just about ready in time…)

I (Laura) am a firm believer in serving ‘real food’, and I am always excited to talk about my love for food anytime.  I encourage my other ‘food lovers’ out there to come and share their successes with healthy eating and if you like, bring something to share.  If you want to bring a dish to share, email me with your ideas at laura@tricycleandrun.com

And, if you know of another expert who would want to share their knowledge with us, have them get in touch with me!

Hot Chocolate FREE 5K Fun Run Results

Our 2017 Fun Run series started with a BANG today at the Hot Chocolate FREE 5K Fun Run!  Once again, we are overwhelmed by the generosity of our local running community.  We collected various cold weather items (both new and lightly used) to be distributed to our local schools here in the Bay Hundred region.  We received everything from hats, scarves, and gloves to sweaters and winter coats.  The picture below is everything we collected from our 60+ participants today!  (Plus, we even had some donations come in from community members that did not participate, but wanted to help!)

We had 4 official winners in our ‘prediction’ race today, including one who was just 11 years old!  Congratulations to Collin Phelps, Thomas Hutchinson, Ashley Chroniger and Debbie Herr Cornwell, who all guessed their finish time within 10 seconds of their recorded time!  Come by to see Laura at the shop for your official prize.

OFFICIAL Results are below:

We would like to thank our community partners that supports our participants with generous discounts following each event.  Special shout out to Eastern Shore Brewing who offers $1 off pints and flights and Carpenter Street Saloon, who offers 10% food purchases following each event.

Our next event is set for Saturday, February 18th and it will be our 2nd Annual Love Run to benefit the Talbot Humane Society.  Stay tuned for further details in the next week!
