Ladies Night Sip ‘n Shop is BACK!

Our Ladies Night Sip ‘n Shop events are back for 2017!

Come out and join Laura on Saturday, February 25th 6pm-9pm for an evening of after-hours fun.  Each of our Ladies Night events features a female speake from our community to talk about topics that relate to our path to wellness.  Light refreshments, a little wine, a little learning, AND some discount shopping…who could ask for a better reason to spend the night with us?

This event will feature a few of our local ‘food gurus’ in our community.  We are excited to have Emily Groll, from Eat Sprout, to join us with a few of their tasty offerings and a little know-how on food labeling.

We are also delighted to have Carol Bean, of Know Good Farm, with us to introduce her CSA program and talk about small, local agriculture.  If I know Carol, then I know she will have a few homemade goodies to share with everyone as well.  (a little birdie even said she might have some micro-greens just about ready in time…)

know-good

I (Laura) am a firm believer in serving ‘real food’, and I am always excited to talk about my love for food anytime.  I encourage my other ‘food lovers’ out there to come and share their successes with healthy eating and if you like, bring something to share.  If you want to bring a dish to share, email me with your ideas at laura@tricycleandrun.com

And, if you know of another expert who would want to share their knowledge with us, have them get in touch with me!

Tri Tilghman Results are up!!

Congratulations to the over 40 triathletes and numerous other single sport athletes that competed in the 2nd Annual Tri-Tilghman on Saturday, September 17th. This event, to benefit the Phillips Wharf Environmental Center (www.pwec.org) is a fundraiser for this wonderful program, teaching about our waterways and the ecosystem involved.

Participants involved completed a 3 mile kayak/SUP, an 8 mile bike ride and a 3.1 mile run. Even with a last minute changed to the bike course due to road construction, everyone had a wonderful time and was able to enjoy the beautiful day. With free pit beef sandwiches for all participants, provided by the local Rotary Club, everyone was in good spirits and was able to spend the morning, cheering on their fellow athletes.

Prizes were donated, by local businesses, for the Overall Male and Female Winners and the First Place winner of age groups 16-29, 30-49, 50-69 and 70+.  Those winners were

Overall Male – Darren Crozier
