The UGLY SWEATER FREE 5k is coming!!!

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!!! If you would like to still participate, please come by our shop on Saturday morning between 7:30 and 8:30 am to sign up on site. Please park at the St Michaels Elementary School (200 Seymour Avenue) and walk down to the shop.

Want a way to stay in shape AND wear that horrible holiday sweater in your closet? Well look no further!! The Ugly Sweater FREE 5k, hosted by TriCycle and Run (929 S. Talbot Street, St Michaels, MD) is your place to be.

On Saturday, December 19th at 9am, toe the start line with your UGLIEST holiday sweater on and run on the St Michaels Walking Trail with some of your friends. The 3.1 mile course will take you along the walking trail and back in to the Marea Terrace development. With port-o-johns and water stops on the course, this run is proven to be flat, fast and well supported.

The run, in our own, unique spin, is an estimated finish run. That means that you get to guess your estimated finish time and, if you are within 10 seconds of that time, YOU ARE THE WINNER!! So it doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are… it matters how well you know your pace.

Entry for this race is FREE but we do ask for a small donation of an unwrapped toy that we can give to the St Michaels Community Center for distribution to our local youth.

BUT WAIT!!! As an added incentive, we have partnered with Eastern Shore Brewing to bring the party to the race. The ESB (www.easternshorebrewing.com) located at 605 S. Talbot Street, will be opening at 10am for our runners and spectators and will be offering $1 off all draft beers. It may seem early for a pint but you’ve earned it this holiday season, haven’t you? 😉

Come one. Come all. Be you a walker, a jogger, a sprinter. Bring your strollers and your well-behaved canine companions. Come out and enjoy the trail and know that your donation will help to brighten a young boy or girl’s holiday season.
